One of the problems of not posting things immediately is I kind of forget … everything. For April’s meet (skipped March for some reason) we met up at a restaurant called Ryoji which had a really nice atmosphere, which I of course took nothing of nor used for creative photos. Partly because a wedding reception was being setup and partly because I like to gab away with everyone instead and then suddenly it’s time to leave.
This weekend a group of friends and myself decided to go urban exploring at a former P.O.W. camp just east of Toronto outside of Bowmanville. The camp is referred to as Camp 30.
Once again we attended Cafe Princess, you may recognize the pink walls from past posts. Archangeli booked us the party room once again and the TADDMUG group did a decent job of filling the whole room. It wasn’t the fullest we’ve made that room mind you, but it was cosey enough.
It’s been a difficult year for a number of reasons I wont get into, but because of them I’ve pretty much slacked entirely on each and every hobby of mine. There aren’t a lot of photos from each meet but as this post contains pretty much an entire years worth it’s a couple pages long. I’ve summarized each meet as best I could remember, the gist of it all should be right.
It’s nearly the end of the year and despite my lazy efforts I never did finish writing all the missing doll meet posts. So in their place here’s some photos I took over Christmas.
Back in July both of my vehicles required some regular maintenance. Neither task particularly difficult but as they were things I’d never done before I requested the assistance of some friends to ensure everything was done properly.
Babymetal was one of the more interesting “bands” I think I’ve ever seen in concert. So much fusion going on, and not just the music but the people in attendance as well.
Assuka. Yes, that extra ‘s’ was intentional. The most asstastic Assuka figure there is. There are many figures that highlight this asspect of her, but none are so well sculpted in my opinion. This pose also manages to achieve the trifecta, face, chest, ass, all in one angle, though her jacket kind of ruins that unfortunately. TL;DR: This is definitely my favourite Assuka figure, but she’s not perfect. Now enjoy the photos.
Last weekend was TADDMUG’s (Toronto-Area Dollfie Dream Meetup Group) monthly meet. We met up at Marché in downtown Toronto, one of our usual restaurants as they’ll happily accommodate our unpredictable group size rather easily. It was a smaller group than we’ve had in the past but it was also ridiculously cold outside, so I don’t really blame anyone for not wanting to leave the warmth of their home. It was almost cold enough that temperatures read in both °F and °C would have been the same! Continue reading Toronto Doll Meet 15.2: Valentine’s
Being the first meet of 2015 I guess some people were still recovering from Christmas/New Years or perhaps fulfilling their new years resolutions or something, as the meet was a bit smaller. We were “just” nine, and were out numbered by dolls two to one. The theme was sweaters and while not everyone had one, everyone did look bundled up for winter so that worked just as well.
