Despite having been in Colorado now for two weeks already, I’ve barely done anything. I’ve taken a couple cruises through the foot hills, but not taken a single photo until yesterday when Gibwar and myself took our girls up the 14er known as Mt Evans. You may recall I rode up it last year as […]
Last night I ventured out in an attempt to capture some photos of the “epic” Camelopardalids Meteor Shower that was expected to appear. Long story short, what a waste of time. Could have been my latitude, could have been the light pollution, but I barely saw any meteors zip through the sky in the 1.5 hours I was out.
It’s been almost two weeks since I arrived back home to On-terrible (Ontario) from a recent trip to British Columbia. Like Colorado, I wish I lived there, everything is gorgeous, even when it’s foggy, cloudy, and cold, but not cold enough to snow. As you’d probably expect, I took Horo along with me for some photos, what you might not have expected was I brought along her new friend Alice. Whom I’ve yet to post about as she arrived shortly before I left for the trip, but more on her in another post I suppose.
I’ve collated all the photos of Dollfie Dream Horo in Colorado into one post, that doesn’t also include all the travel aspects. It seemed a bit mean to ‘force’ people only interested in Horo or Dollfies to go through my whole trip log, all nine pages of it, just to find the photos. So here […]
It would seem that it’s becoming an annual tradition to travel down and visit my favourite state in ‘murica. Three years running I’ve visited the “colorful” state of Colorado, each year with a different idea of how to tackle the state. This year I chose by motorcycle and it was easily the best visit yet. I covered a lot of ground and probably did so too quickly, which of course just means I’ll have to go back ;).
In Canada eh you’d expect that come January you’d be wearing your toque eh, riding your skidoo eh, building an igloo eh, or perhaps bundled up on your chesterfield with you choice of poutine or Kraft Dinner to keep you warm eh. Today however was 11°C, what little snow we had was mostly melted and I was out on my motorcycle clocking over 200 km today.
Recently went out for an 8-9 hour motorcycle ride through southern Ontario. I could have chosen a better route perhaps but all in all I was quite happy with the sights, which I’d seen before for the most part. One thing differed though, Godrich Ontario had been hit by an F3 Tornado since the last time I’d visited the downtown core. Sadly I didn’t remember this and didn’t take any pictures of the progress, I just thought there was a lot of construction… doh!
A good friend of mine got married in Colorado not to long ago and so I was invited back down to visit the state once more. I didn’t get a lot of time to go out and explore, nor did I have my own means of transportation. But, I did get to explore some of the same things I did last time with new people and get a different perspective on it that previously. Here are a few shots from the trip.
