With Anime North and subsequently Doll North last month and my choosing not to attend, I didn’t get to meet up with everyone until this month. It certainly felt like quite a long time, so much so that I’d actually gone out to take photos without a doll meet, which is something else that hadn’t happened in quite a while (though I haven’t posted them yet). Even still I don’t feel as though I talked to everyone much, maybe I did, but I mostly remember desperately trying to get a good photo in various places with Horo and Alice and mostly failing. Suddenly felt like taking a bunch of photos yesterday. The weather was actually sunny when I took them, but once I started to process them a thunderstorm had rolled in and I felt that concept suited the photos better. I hope you enjoy some fakery!
Sunday night MrCool, a reasonably local and fellow Dollfie Dream collector, asked if I would show him how to take good photos. I did nothing of the sort, but we spent Monday outside taking photos anyway.
April is a busy month for many of the crew who attend the Toronto doll meets. Between Easter and preparing for Anime North, weekends are just as busy as weekdays. So scheduling becomes an issue for some and as such pushed us right back to the last day of the last weekend in April. Continue reading Toronto Doll Meet 14.4: Last Meet before Anime North
While house/pet sitting for a friend last weekend I used the opportunity to take some photos of the girls in a new location. I like how a bunch of them turned out, but I couldn’t narrow it down to just a few. I also took some dog photos! Though I’ll throw them in a second post.
A lot has happened in the past twelve months. I’ve gone from figure collector, to travelling Dollfie salesman.
This winter has kind of sucked, it’s been too cold much of the time and made me generally unwilling to go outside for tasks like photography. Even though I’ve wanted to for quite some time. But, a group gathering will always get me out and about despite the weather. Visited the Toronto Dollfie crew once again, this time at Go for Tea in Markham.
Just before my trip to British Columbia near the end of October Kuonji Alice arrived as my second Dollfie Dream. I hadn’t really intended to get a second Dollfie so soon, but it happened, and here she is.
The dress Horo’s wearing was originally intended to be her Oktoberfest dress as illustrated by Koume Keito. However it came out a little bit too shiny and Christmasy for that which made it perfect for this time of year! You may also notice that Horo has a new tail, Horo 1.2!~ Not quite a 2.0, but an update with new features! It’s poseable!
It’s been almost two weeks since I arrived back home to On-terrible (Ontario) from a recent trip to British Columbia. Like Colorado, I wish I lived there, everything is gorgeous, even when it’s foggy, cloudy, and cold, but not cold enough to snow. As you’d probably expect, I took Horo along with me for some photos, what you might not have expected was I brought along her new friend Alice. Whom I’ve yet to post about as she arrived shortly before I left for the trip, but more on her in another post I suppose. Continue reading British Columbia
