I’ve been a fan of Spice & Wolf for quite some time now, since it aired on Japanese television in January of 2008. Since then I’ve experienced and participated in my fair share of the fandom, adamantly supporting whatever position I agreed with at the time. As time progressed and I’ve aged, I’ve come to accept many things that much of the fandom apparently cannot. With years of discussion on the Internet about the series many still feel the need to ask the same questions that have been answered, or argue things that don’t matter. It’s these things that annoy me about Spice & Wolf fandom, and truthfully, probably any fandom suffers from similar issues.
Instead of celebrating the five year anniversary of Tailgrab.Org(y), which would have been in February, I figured I’d do something a little bit different. Celebrating where Tailgrab got it’s name, the original tailgrab.
Yet another Spice & Wolf related item has arrived. Strangely, persons living within the United States seem to have received their copy of Spice & Wolf Vol.7 (Manga) before Canadians did. I don’t recall that happening in the past.
Addressed to an “Aka von Einzberg” more Horo merch has arrived, courtesy of Rajura a fellow Horo collector and connoisseur.
Every six months or so Amazon.ca sends me a package that I’ve forgotten I’d ordered. I speculate what it could be based off messages sent to me falsely claiming it’s from Japan like all my other orders. Only upon seeing it directly do my eyes light up and my mouth open to a toothy grin.
I wouldn’t normally make a post for something like this, but since Twitpic decided to make this image vanish I figured I’d put it somewhere they couldn’t do that. Perhaps it was a bit too racy, who knows.
While I’ve never really been truly happy with any Horo cosplay (or most cosplay in general) there have been some that have stood out. Now, I’ll admit originally these all stood out because they were nude but after contemplating the issue the thought started to occur to me, isn’t it amazing someone would cosplay a nude anime character for no monetary gain (that I’m aware of) and only their adoration of the character as their motive?
July 12th I realized I hadn’t ordered Spice & Wolf vol.4 (Manga) so I went and did so. I figured the book would arrive on Friday but I keep forgetting how fast Amazon is. The book shipped and arrived at my door step the same day! All for the measly cost of $3 shipping. <3
