Up until now I’d (usually) referred to my Dollfie Horo as “almost Horo”, she was missing something important in establishing her identity. Recently however that particular item arrived.
I’d looked long and hard for the perfect set of ears for Horo and as it would turn out no such thing exists. The best that exists are the ears (and tail) that “suijin725eb” produces on Yahoo Auctions Japan, if I want something better than that I’m going to have to learn how to make them myself. Never the less, I purchased a set of “suijin725eb’s” ears (and tail) off YAJ. Once they finally arrived I was pleasantly surprised by just how well they matched Horo’s hair. Sure, they don’t match perfectly, but for two completely different products it’s amazing they’re so close. Another issue with the ears is they’re just too big to be Horo’s, there’s no proper illustration of Horo with ears this big. Never the less I will still call this iteration of Horo a full 1.0 (one point oh) as she does now possess all the attributes in one fashion or another that identify her character. The tail that came with the ears matches colour-wise better than her oversized fox tail, but just doesn’t seem the right size so I’ll keep with the fox tail and call her “complete”. Hopefully I’m able to produce a 2.0 (two point oh) iteration that’s superior, but I think that’ll take learning some new skills first.
Unfortunately despite taking lots of photos of Horo, her pose remained rather static throughout due to some time constraints, but I wanted to get in some photos while I had a chance and some are better than none! So here they are.
Hands. A pile of hands. How creepy owning a doll can be, you carry spare parts around.
That was a lot of photos of one pose, and I even narrowed it down! I need to be more selective in the future I think!
Despite Dollfie Horo not being perfect I think I might have fallen for her anyway…
