Colorado Trip Log: Day 2

I would have started with Day 1 but unfortunately I didn’t have time to post anything. Today is the real start of the trip anyway, though I’m already 1,500 km from home by the end of it.

Today I joined my friend kb9skw in his Ford Five Hundred leaving my Saabaru all by it’s lonesome. A short trek today of only about 600 km, but it was a scenic drive through Wisconsin along the Wisonsin River and Mississippi River. We’ve stopped over in Mankato, MN for the night and will be heading towards Rapid City, SD. A longer drive through the prairies which is supposedly as flat as Shana (MMmm Deliciously Flat Country-side). I’d still like to try and capture just how flat it is with my camera, but we’ll see how that goes.

Unfortunately, I didn’t bring any RAW processing software so I can’t even post a picture from my camera. Perhaps I’ll install some throughout the trip as I get more photos I want to post. Horo on the console of the Five Hundred shot with a cameraphone will have to do for now.

the camera phone quality makes it seem like a more authentic road trip photo. the colour of the dash really complements horo.

    • Aka says:

Haha if you say so. I hate it. Looks so poor compared to my dSLRs. I have a couple JPGs off them as well, but time is limited and I’m usually too tired at the end of each day to bother.

  2. Rajura says:

Well, now I know what you meant when you said vacation!

    This is a big one!

And, you had Holo to join you… lucky, lucky man!

    • Aka says:

Yeah, too hard to be following auctions. Though I appreciate the links. Perhaps after I’ve recouped some money after the vacation. (Not likely lol, I have a wedding to attend in Mexico.)

Two Horos actually. Volks and Koto.
