Day 5 was supposed to be a visit to Devil's Tower and a scenic drive through the National Grasslands in Wyoming. Two things didn't quite work out in our favour however but I'll get to those in order.

Today was a long drive to Wall Drug in Wall, SD. Sure we were in Rapid City and it's not that far from Wall, but we went through the Badlands National Park.

Day 3 we finished driving through Minnesota and hit South Dakota. I suspect many would have called this drive boring due to the landscape but I thought differently.

Prior to Wonder Festival I was pondering to myself, how many items will I end up ordering this time around. With Wonder Festival done and over with I'm rather surprised at how few have actually made it onto my list of orders. I think I've managed myself quite well this time around, so far.

I think I have to start by saying that I'm pleasantly surprised. I knew ahead of time this would not be a perfect Horo. Between the promoshots and the preview at Hobby Stock it was clear what I was going to receive. Then the poorly lit photos started appearing and everyone complained and cancelled their orders. But I held steady, I'd been through this a hundred times I knew what to expect, and that was not to expect much at all. I think because of my pessimism I'm able to be pleasantly surprised today.

Rode down to Niagra Falls last Tuesday to take a look around. I've been there a number of times in the past as it's not all that far from where I live. In fact, I used to ride my bicycle there from a town down the river called "Niagra on the Lake", another tourist trap but a very pretty little town none the less. Was a very different experience on the motorcycle, things that seemed so far before were too close.

This past Thursday I decided to check out a bike meet in downtown Toronto. I went with a couple of friends and they'd hyped up the event claiming hundreds of bikers would be showing up. I didn't really believe them to be honest but I figured I'd go anyway and be social. I was a bit surprised at just how many people did show up, not quite hundreds in the plural but definitely a lot!
