Arrival: Kotobukiya’s Kasugano Sora

Koto's 1/6th Kasugano Sora figure has arrived, she's cute enough I suppose but is she worth the buy? My preliminary opinion is waivering a bit, maybe yes, maybe no, I'm not sure. Look for the review in the future.more »

On Order: Max Factory Xecty Ein (Swimsuit Ver.)

Finishing off their Shining Wind Swimsuit line of figures, Max Factory has closed with their Xecty Ein pre-order. First there was Seena Kanon who's wonderful pose drew me into the line, then Kureha Touka who didn't quite live up to Seena's first impressions, Calalaclan Philias who's breasts were far too big for me to even order, and now Xecty.more »

Review: Alter’s KOS-MOS Ver.1

Got an oldie for ya today from a time when I thought figure collecting was far too expensive a hobby to get in to, back when the Canadian dollar would get you ¥101 and a figure would cost a measly ¥4,750. What on earth was I thinking? Now I only get ¥86 to the Canadian Dollar and figures cost ¥9,800! more »

On Order: Good Smile Company Inaba Yui

On Order: Good Smile Company Inaba Yui

Finally Good Smile Company has decided this figure is worthy of a release. I only wish they eventually make the same decision with Kyrie Rason. Inaba Yui is from the eroge Flyable Heart illustrated by Noizi Ito, I've not played this game and have no real desire to do so, but I loved Yui's character design. So different, I mean, raccoon tail and a donut?more »

On Order: Good Smile Company Black Rock Shooter (Anime Ver.)

Unlike my previous order Black★Rock Shooter (Anime Ver.) is a long anticipated release from Good Smile Company, with previews dating as far back as January at GSC x COSPA x Bushi Road New Year Party, perhaps further back but that's as far as I can remember.more »

On Order: Alter Shikinami Asuka Langley

This figure came right out of left field, I don't think anyone saw her coming. Two years after the release of their Ayanami Rei and just in time for the release of Rebuild of Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance, Alter's decided it's time for an additional member to their small one character cast of 1/8th scale Evangelion figures, Shikinami Asuka Langley donning her splendid Test Type plugsuit.more »

Review: Good Smile Company's Hayakawa Yuzuko

Review: Good Smile Company’s Hayakawa Yuzuko

17/05/2010  |  18 Comments

Hayakawa Yuzuko goes against my usual taste in women. The majority of the time I don't find women who exceed my short stature to be attractive yet I get the feeling Yuzuko here would tower over me as she's easily the tallest figure I own and she's only a 1/8th scale figure! Hey, hair counts! Marge Simpson might be my height but not with that hair she's not. According to Google Marge is 259 cm (8'6") tall! (168 cm or 5'6" without hair).more »

On Order: Good Smile Company Senjougahara Hitagi

How could anyone resist this amazing figure? The uniqueness of the school supplies falling out of her skirt alone is worth the buy, but Senjougahara Hitagi is a pretty awesome character as well.more »
