It's been a long time since I've written a figure review, seven months twenty-two days be precise. In this post I look at e2046's Gathering knock-off release of Horo, originally produced as a garage kit by Tsuru no Yakata.more »
This morning I noticed I was receiving hits from Isuna Hasekura's blog (author of Spice & Wolf) and the thought dawned on me, I never followed up my trip posts with any properly post-processed photos. Just there poorly and "quickly" (netbook's are never quick) processed ones from the loaner netbook I was using. So here's a compilation of all the Horo shots taken.more »
Since disassembling my "studio" to bring in a couch in it's place I've wanted to take more photos of my figures. Figures. Trying to keep some semblance of creativity I messed about with Lightroom and turned this into the above photo. I like how it turned out, could probably use some more work touching up bits of it, perhaps removing the yellow tones from places I'd rather not wish them to be, but it's good enough for a bit of fun.more »

I think I have to start by saying that I'm pleasantly surprised. I knew ahead of time this would not be a perfect Horo. Between the promoshots and the preview at Hobby Stock it was clear what I was going to receive. Then the poorly lit photos started appearing and everyone complained and cancelled their orders. But I held steady, I'd been through this a hundred times I knew what to expect, and that was not to expect much at all. I think because of my pessimism I'm able to be pleasantly surprised today.more »
Wonder Festival, that time of year where we wonder which of these will actually make it into production and how long they'll actually take to get released. I'm looking at you Good Smile Company, you still haven't released Kyrie Rason damnit! Of course Wonder Festival happened July 24th but it takes time to compile such information and collect all the imagery required. Especially when you don't read a word of Japanese and require sites like Neko Magic to compile the information for you (Thanks as always GGT).more »
Did a whole bunch of cleaning today and through it ended up finding the perfect place and angle for Houmei to sit. Now, I'm a bit disappointed she's out in... more »
